TRAVEL: [BALI Escape] Series iii: Touchdown BALI ♥

BALI

4Days. 3 Nights.

Still on Day 1 but at least it's touchdown BALI!

Denpasar, Bali 

Travel time fr SG: approx 2 hours 35 mins.

Ngurah Rai International Airport

Loooong queue started early! 

Le hubs still can take some #SELFIE shots lol

If you're going here, be prepared & be really vigilant.

With what? Take care of your belongings!

Your luggage especially when you arrive at the (Denpasar) airport~

You can tell from the VLOG iii that the luggage were on the floor as the conveyor belt cannot even take it.

You would not be even able to notice if some stranger already got your belongings.

We almost were not able to locate ours,

but yeah after 50 golden years,

we managed to do so.

you'd see how crowded it was and there were no proper directions on where to queue and all that stuff...

not to mention it was extremely HOT inside!

Immigration processing was fast tho.

We were given a complimentary personalized hotel transfer by the

QUEST HOTEL (Tuban)

where we stayed initially.

The hotel has this PURPLE theme,

and the driver (Mr. Agung) was not difficult to find , he wore that purple polo & was waving happily at us!

Even the SUV was purple eh?

Travel from the airport to Quest Hotel took about 30-45mins;

traffic wasn't too heavy that time.

Not sure what landmark was this but I love this shot by E.

Enjoying the SUV's aircon as we were toasted inside the stuffy airport hahaha!

Reminiscent of Manila noh?

For a moment I thought it's gonna rain again!

Bali's Ukay-Ukay?

Finally reached our hotel,

QUEST HOTEL (Tuban)!

They served us welcome drinks,

called PURPLE BLISS.

Tastes really unique and refreshing!

Their staff were friendly and easy to talk with;

and I love the attitude that they exude...

"I-will-serve-you-well-without-expecting-any-TIP-in-the-end"

haha.

Rooms were well-kept, pretty neat.

The only downside was I requested for a pool view during the booking process...

and we were not able to get it since they said that it was under renov or something.

Just see our majestic view on the VLOG hahahah!

Another bummer!

I was really sick during this trip,

but as my middle name is WOLVERINE;

 tried my very best to ignore it.

I.must.live.up.to.my.name.

But my voice cannot deny it

so E & I asked for the hotel's shuttle service to bring us to 

DISCOVERY Mall 

...to buy medicines actually haha!

..and dinner!

We planned to have an early night rest for me to at least regain energy.

I did not fly to BALI to nurse this fever urgh!

In Singapore, you have to present doctor's prescription to buy antibiotics 

from a pharmacy or even Guardian.

Here in BALI,

they are all readily available (over-the-counter) at their Guardian stores...
and they're quite affordable!

We also grabbed ROTI-O from the mall~

This is a must get especially if you're a coffee lover.

Mad YUM!!!

Desserts served in a bed of foil.
