Pandesaaaaaaaal!!!
I miss the man on his bike shouting this early in the mornin'..
And so those were the days...
Rainy nights surely makes E & I usually crave for the classic pan de sal ..
Thank heavens for 24/7 bakeries!
I was just inside the car waiting for our order while ..
Lovin' the rain bokeh ! ! !
Feeling is just- S U B L I M E :))
I will usually open the bag & let the warm inviting smell waft throughout the car.
Who can resist this hot, freshly baked pan de sal??
NOT papa E!
and definitely NOT me, either haha!
Pan de sal is a Filipino bread roll that’s normally eaten at breakfast.
Define a typical Filipino breakfast and the perennial presence of pan de sal is the answer.
Its name literally means “salt bread” but it’s generally on the sweet side.
Best enjoyed straight from the oven.
Nothing beats hot freshly baked bread and it tastes so good just by itself!
How do you like your pan de sal then?
Eaten straight from the brown bag or?
Option 1:
I cut it in half and then to toast mine to the “medium” setting on the oven toaster
so that it gets nice and crusty.
Option 2:
You can put peanut butter,
opt for the creamy ones.
I ♥ the sheen of the peanut butter as it starts to melt when it hits the hot pan de sal.
Option 3:
Dunk it in hot coffee or MILO (whoops, shameless plug there..)
OR
if you want a fancy pan de sal, try making your own filling.
I usually make a home-made DIY filling composed of : beef, onion, tomato, bacon, & cheese+mustard dressing:)) |
PAN DE MONIUM ! ! :))
