CLINIQUE CLAIMS:

An oil-free liquid foundation that adds moisture and subtracts oil where needed. The long-wearing liquid foundation is silky upon application and provides water-resistant, moderate coverage . For combination skin types. Non-acnegenic. Streak-proof and sweat-proof.

I somehow think that this makeup has been under-rated. Though the persistent outcry for the Clinique Superfit Makeup is still high, over-all I still think this is worth your money and is great as an everyday foundation. They call this a 'smart make up' for 2 reasons in my opinion. It absorbs oil wherever it's needed and it moisturizes the skin wherever it needs hydration. I kept an open mind when I got this, as this was the recommended alternative to the discontinued Clinique Superfit Makeup

WHAT I LOVE ABOUT THE PRODUCT

blendable/smooth texture that gives that dewy finish
consistency: creamy yet lightweight; no pore-clogging gunk too
oil-free/moisturizing that it melts on my skin so easily, 'almost' traceless
buildable coverage, from medium-full
lasting power: 4 hours max; there's a high %age of an oil breakthrough afterwards
no sensitivity nor breakouts; dermatologist-tested & fragrance free

WHAT I DO NOT LOVE ABOUT THE PRODUCT

packaging: glass bottle?! you gottta be kidding me! screw top lid so you have to pour out the contents! it's messy and there's a lot of wasted products. sigh.
needs a primer & concealer as it doesn't really stays all day & flawlessly covers up my pores
not travel friendly, i have to depot still when I travel so it's a bit of hassle for me
wicked price ~~again ?~~last time I checked it was around PHP1,750 (approx USD39/SGD52) at the counters

I'm not sure but with this I think it works better with a sponge rather than a brush. But since I hate using sponges(hello bacteria) I use my fingers instead. Although this foundation doesn't cover every blemishes or imperfection (dark circles and the whatnot) I do see a very noticeable difference on my skin whenever I wear this. It gives my skin that silky feeling and the seamless blending whenever I apply it- is to be noted for. Finish-wise, it's superb. Much needed improvement on the oil control tho.

If you are looking for a foundation that doesn't dry up your skin, get this! Hydrating foundations are very important, so do not just rely on the coverage. They have a lot more shades to choose from. When buying Clinique, don't think of it as burning your own money, rather think of it as worth the investment. ☺
