Are you sick of the FALL 2012 Collections yet?
Oh, wait.
It's still fall isn't it?
If only I could stop Fall from saying its farewell...i will!
I love Fall.
Next comes Summer.
Last would be Holiday Collections.
Dark. Bright, then flickering lights....
That's how it goes for me.
So am gonna showcase Burberry's Autumn/Winter Luxe Collection hea' okay?
As mentioned, whilst majority of the women are busy with
NARS ultimate comeback who-hahs in Singapore,
the Burberry A/W 2012 Collection has been a total silencer...
or I'd say, it has become the underdog this time around.
An invite by the Burberry team is always welcomed 0n my list...
they told me it's a private/exclusive workshop, featuring their latest collection for Fall.
so what is new then?
Burberry Velvet Foundation (8 shades) |
Create a velvety finish with this fluid foundation from Burberry. Featuring a long wear formula, it promises to leave the skin beautifully soft, supple and comfortable.
The shades are: #201, #202, #203,#204, #205,#206, #207, #208.
2 new shades of Lip Cover:
31 Mocha Glow
32 Sepia Pink
left- 32 Sepia Pink
right- 31 Mocha Glow
|
3 new Sheer Eye Shadow:
23 Dark Sable
24 Mulberry
25 Porcelain White
The workshop focused on giving beauty updates straight from the Burberry Prorsum Runway, an effortless blend of English countryside hues. In simplest terms:
Luxe and Natural.
So Burberry-ish eh?
Advanced Face Contouring
Such a beautiful canvas; ...now for the eyes! |
Burberry shadows are demo'ed on how easy they are to apply and their blendability even without the use of brushes.
Here, Mindy (the MUA) only used her fingers to apply the shadows.
Yes, no brushes.....we always depend on brushes don't we at times?
Next comes: eye lining with a pencil; applying blush/contour/finishing touch-ups
Of course, not forsakin' the lips!
Final look...
Au Naturelle Burberry Mademoiselle!
That contoured cheek..just wow.
SWATCHES
(+ my thoughts)
The lipsticks are still the same creamy formula;
only this time, the 2 shades did not appeal that much to me.
Burberry Velvet Foundation
This is thicker than the Sheer Glow Foundation; more on a matte finish and feels like you have combined a foundation & setting powder into one liquid medium.
I thought it would give out a matte and flat result,
but still the fresh natural look was firmly visible on the model's face as shown above.
Burberry Eyeshadows
Swatching by press-finger method was not a problem;
but I was surprised that I had difficulties swatching them on my arm.
Can you see the gold flecks of Mulberry? Pretty~!
The shadows did not go on smoothly unlike their other regular shadows;
unsure it it was just the tester or what...
all 3 were a bit gritty.
Mulberry was the most pigmented of all, it has this brownish-wine shade depth to it which is indeed pretty in real life. The Dark Sable looks like a diffused taupe, if you are a taupe lover, you need this! It has a pinch of khaki & olive green, such a confusing taupey shade.
How'd ya like my own A/W 2012 Luxe Face Chart?
I applied Sepia Pink on the entire lips,
then dabbed Mocha Glow on the center of the lips...
and it looks like an ombré lips haha.
Every time I make a post about Burberry
I do feel like am doing a review of pure temptation.
But this time around, I'd like to make an exception.
I did not get anything from the A/W2012 Collection...
sad to say but my wallet's happy fo' sho...lol.
Now lookin' forward to the Holiday Collection!
The Burberry team treated us to a luxe manicure at the preview launch, so shiok!
I chose this O.P.I (?) indigo-purple glitter-ish shade in which
I forgot to ask the exact color shade, #boo.
Thanks so much to :
Burberry Team Singapore & the hosting company for this exclusive workshop.
