Anything Japan is love, and the Royce Nama Chocolate is no exception. If you happen to pass by Singapore's Suntec City, there's no way you would miss this store. Just look for that store that has always the longest queue or the most packed and you have surely landed on a Royce shop. There was so much fuss over this chocolate, it piqued my interest of course so I tried it a couple of years back. Steep price yes yes yes! But over-all verdict? One word. BLISS.
Royce Nama chocolate comes wrapped in an insulated bag with an ice pack, its packaging as expected was aesthetically made. Again, it's from Japan, just the way that it should be. Darn, they're very good with that.
You will see simple, plain powdery squares upon opening the package. Pop one in your mouth and the very first thing that hits your mouth is the strong, bitter cocoa powder. It coats your tongue with bitterness for a split second, trust me it's only a tiny bit of bitterness, setting the stage for the cold, creamy, rich chocolatey, heavenly goodness that gently melts on your tongue, igniting your senses with all that is divine.
Nama means fresh or raw in Japanese. Nama chocolate comes with a relatively short shelf life and it is highly perishable. Ensure to keep it below 10 degrees. Anyway, with this kind of high quality chocolates, there is no way this would even last for 24 hours in your fridge. Awesome creation. God Bless Japan.
A quarter of a bite is even enough to get that choco-fix. Have you tasted this one yet?
They reminded me somehow of this classic Nintendo game, Battle City right?!
