TRAVEL: [BALI Escape] Series: Bali Sightings, Eats & Shopping!

Hi Hi! Just so you know that...

This is what we did, what we saw, what we decided to stuff our growling tummies and the whatnot.
Please do not take it as if I am dictating you on what to do, where not to go or where to eat
if ever you visit BALI.
At least you might have an idea on what to expect or what to look for when you got here,

Discovery Mall

Kuta Beach

We almost didn't want to leave KUTA Beach,

what we just have seen?

That is one sunset injected with steroids..bam!

Just awesome.

But of course we still checked it out ...

the shoppes at Discovery Mall were bleah.

here are some of them:

SURFER GIRL

CROCS

THE LITTLE THINGS SHE NEEDS

but I was suprised to see 

PAYLESS!

For make up/cosmetics;

they were inside their department store (SOGO)

they have Maybelline, Nyx and  fragrances like Giorgio Armani;

also tons of bags and watches were on sale.

GUCHI???

For restos;

ROTI BOY

If you could notice,

most of the restos/cafes, we also do have in Singapore...

so the only thing that made me happy was ROTI-BOY!

or was it Roti O?

As long as it has ROTI hahahah!

BALI is also known for nightlife parties and such;

but still I consider Phuket as a place with more night owls

louder, and more frenetic haha~!

There was a mini concert going on just outside the Discovery Mall.

Huh, tsk tsk....not really bad...

and then Music under the moonlight just at the mall's entrance hehe.

Always a breather to see the green logo.

But I did not come here just to drink Starbuckkkksss eh!

and since I wanted to see a much more decent shopping mall,

I researched for more spots and found this

BEACHWALK

See their architecture here

It's like Mall of Asia, huge and takes a lot of time strolling and shopping inside!

Beachwalk also has those fancy-schmancy restos and boutiques/shops!

Too many to list them all here....hehe

Mind you, we walked from Kuta Beach to Beachwalk and upon going back to the hotel

we also walked haha!

Even the old drivers and the hotel staff were so amazed 

we only walked and did not even hire a cab.

That's how far it is.

Almost 2 hours of non-stop walking.

But then,

we really didn't notice it;

cause of so many stopovers...

shopping in between you know hehe.

Until we felt our tummies growling

and I was searching for a carinderia/hawker style but there was none!

But we saw this!

Daddy's Cafe

Ahhh heaven sent.

An old school cafe which was also near our hotel (Quest Hotel Tuban).

They serve Greek-inspired food as well as Turkish and Mediterranean dishes.

I forgot the exact names of our dishes; but they were all delish!

Kebab is the way to go....i love the snapper and the lamb combo ..shoot am drooling while typing this!

The take-away from Beachwalk hahah!

Mini cakes from a Japanese resto...which aagaaaaiinn I forgot to jot down lol.

If you plan to have a walkathon like what we did,

wear something light and really comfy!

Luckily I was wearing this singlet from New Urban Male..

that says, SHAKE YOUR COCONUTS!

and yes I got a couple of stares from men..hohum.

Other BALI Sightings:

Women on Scooters are cool yeah???

Also spotted their DUTY FREE,

which is located in the middle of nowhere hahaha!

My friend who has been there told me NOT to go and shop here;

'cause I think she shopped but was not able to bring the items home and 

still must claim it somewhere...

or some other time.

Like duh?? What kind of shopping policy is that?
