Honey Toast.a glorious block of bread punished with that decadent butter bath. yes. easy. sexy.
Japanese Brick Toast aka Honey Toast is a popular Asian dessert - basically a thick piece of toast or caramelized bread topped with anything sweet that turns your sweet tooth on. Name it, ice cream, butter, honey, fruits etc. A daunting and deceiving dessert if you will ask me but very irresistible. When you get that dessert digs, you might have tried Honey Toasts at dazzling cafe.

The Honey Toast fever here haven't died down yet in my opinion. Why so? Their spacious interior will always lure customers, the pink vibe is an intangible factor plus the cafe is sterile. I will never dig pink, but this one is easy on the eyes. While I was perusing the menu here and choosing which latte I'd go for, my peripheral vision didn't escape the different flavour of Honey Toasts on every table - some plain, some has the green goblin looking thing (matcha baby!), some decorated with all things fancy (sprinkles, mallows, nuts, choco fudge, hell, all the tooth-decay enablers you can think of). In short, you can customize it as much as you like.
Since I brought a friend here and it was her first time, I didn't think twice and ordered the Classic Honey Toast.
the brick. i mean the toast.
The Classic Honey French Toast when served was warm, bread is fluffy and slightly crunchy and when combined with that heavenly mound of ice cream? Delicioso. I loved its toned down version and it's ridiculously filling.
Highs: Bread to ice-cream ratio is superb. No bitin factor.
the coffee.
I had the lavender latte (SGD8) and it complemented the toast well, just lovely. Love the sweet comforting lavender smell and uhm, taste.
Cannot recall exact price of the Cafe Latte tho but I believe it's between SGD6 to SGD8.
I stole a sip from my friend's cuppa latte and it was smooth; they use Lavazza Coffee btw. We spent a lot of time jibber-jabbering prior to sinking our teeth into that honey toast and best part was that the Häagen-Dazs ice cream was frigid AF. Not complaining!

dazzling cafe satisfied my dessert digs and i've honestly enjoyed every morsel. no rockin' & reelin' til the next morning due to that sugar rush. definitely, a once-a-week binge or tag along your bff to lessen the CARBO guilt.
