Dreamworks theatrical production of madagascar live!  kicks off  at the Mastercard Theatre of Marina Bay Sands. The media/press call involved cast/director/producer interviews and sneak peek from the musical. The crew just landed the day before and can you just imagine how shagged they were #jetlagbaby!

MADAGASCAR LIVE! follows the journey of Alex The Lion, Marty The Zebra, Gloria The Hippo and Melman The Giraffe from leaving the confined New York city zoo life to taste the freedom into the wild of Madagascar. Alex and the gang will come to experience on how it's a "jungle out there!" The scenes were very similar to the movie, (yes, even Alex's daily supply of premium steak), so the audience especially the children got their eyes and ears hooked from the very start.  The young and old were caught dancing to the famous line "I like to moove-it! moove-it!”. The scheming penguins hijacked each scene they were involved with, they're hilarious as ever. Freedom is totally aloof for the quartet in the beginning, however this is just the way you pick up the moral of the story.

MADAGASCAR LIVE is known for its superb family entertainment vibe, brilliantly recreated in a stage production of lively storytelling, dance and music, and is set to mesmerise fans who can also look forward to tapping their feet to the super hit soundtrack ‘I Like to Move It, Move It’.  Resident Director Samantha Mason seamlessly melded his company’s renowned production elements with demanding performances from his actors. It's a fun-filled celebration of friendship and good times, the show is set to be a vivid showcase of imaginative sets and costumes, peppy dance numbers and spectacular new songs that will keep the audiences entertained from the beginning until the end.

There were animation visuals incorporated to the show plus unfrugal audience participation. The stage was flooded with lush and vibrant colors of Madagascar, makes one suddenly wanna don a bikini, a cocktail in hand and bask under the sun. Seemed like the rollicking actions were indeed rehearsed well that it dominates the entire stage.

Madagascar LIVE will keep you and your tykes occupied for an hour or two; actors' performances brought the film's scenes audaciously to life.  The chain of events will make you like these theatrical characters, totally an enjoyable family entertainment. Light and funny, the cast did a great job in plugging us into their mission - to pursue your dream no matter what's at steak - i mean, stake.
