REVIEW: The Walking Dead Season 6. Episode 1 - First Time Again

The Walking Dead Season 6 : Episode 1

First Time Again.

Seriously, a 6 month lay-off with The Walking Dead is a plain jane rehab. So when a pilot episode of The Walking Dead comes, I expect the real thing - explosive. 

Zombie-wise I didn't get much of it; but Morgan vs Rick? Aha-bsoloo-tah-lee.

I ain't sure if I am the only one who noticed it but the silent war going on with these two is something worth watching for. The black and white inserts (of which am not a fan of) paved the way for Rick's leadership, depicting each characters' depth - more than their survival instincts but pinching on their motives to further stay 'alive' .

Highlights of this Episode:

Herding Walkers. A peril albeit being a non-permanent solution;   Seemed stupid but brilliant at the same time; TWD remains to be an entertaining and engaging TV series, a smart one at that.

Daryl, taking his own sweet time on the bike. Always the DIXON calm before a storm.

Eugene, the hair fiasco remains. Eugene as the guard on gate - makes me wanna beat his ass off. He's annoyingly cute. The hair is doomed, move on. 

Nicholas & Glenn - aah.  these two dug a tunnel of respect. Jailbreak their emotions and we can probably see more of what they're truly capable of. Killing, of course is out of the question. 

Carol, the Forever Ms. Smarty Pants. 

Morgan: Are you a policeman? 

Carol: Why? 

Morgan: You're always watching.

More than the gore, it's the characters that keeps me coming back. 

Fine. A bit of face biting wouldn't hurt a tad bit.
