I like the layout inside, magazines hanging from the grilles, up to you to browse.

Laminated menus...chalk written "daily specials"...screams of old skool... 

Mission: Double Chocolate Blackout Cake

Description: 

Moist chocolate sponge cake and warm chocolate sauce topped w/ New Zealand Vanilla ice-cream

Price:  $14.90/slice - insane portion! must be shared by 2. Unless you want a sore-throat as a freebie(?) 

Claims: This sinful, mile-high chocolate fudge cake is made for serious chocolate lovers. Listed as No. 30 in the Singapore 50 Yummiest Cake.

Verdict: IT being a choco fudge cake, I only focused on 2 things: 

1. choco fudge richness, and 

2. choco sponge texture

for both, i  also got only 2 Cs: CREAMY & CHEWY ! Not too bitter, not too sweet either. Indeed ,

a death by chocolate. Nuff said. 

For those consecutive days of non-stop rainin' in SG, it had me craving the insanely strong air-conditioning in the malls, but mostly I crave for a steaming hot cuppa latte. I'm a caffeine fiend who has to have a caffeine fix whatever the weather is.

No fussy review for their latte. Starbucks still wins my vote over this.

Prices here are indeed steep, considering the location and its accessibility, but overall it's still worth your money. 

Reservations are recommended to avoid disappointments as this place really is packed most of the time.
